Sexual Abuse:
When someone if forced or tricked into performing sexual acts. These
acts include rape, incest, fondling, obscene phone calls, pornographic
pictures, prostitution and genital exposure.

Rape:
When a person is forced or tricked into sexual intercourse.

Acquaintance Rape:
When the offender is known to the victim. This could be a friend
or someone that the victim has dated.

Incest:
Sexual relations between family members. Both the victim and offender
can be male or female.

Molestation:
When someone touches someone else sexually against their will.

Exhibitionism:
When someone exposes their genitals to someone else against their will.

Voyeurism:
Obtaining sexual gratification by secretly looking at sex objects (often
an undresses person) or sex acts.

Physical
Abuse: When the offender physically injures a
person, this includes burns, fractures, bruises, welts, cuts and/or
internal injuries.

Verbal
Abuse: When one person verbally harasses
another, in an attempt to destroy that person's self-esteem or
character.

Emotional
Abuse: Frequently occurs as verbal abuse
and/or excessive demands on a person's performance. Can result in
a negative self image and disturbed behavior.

Neglect:
Refers to the failure of a parent or guardian to provide a child's basic
needs, i.e., food, shelter, clothing, hygiene, or medical care.
